1535

1535. Jan. 21.
H. H. u. St. A. England, f. 7.
Chapuys to Anthoine Perrenot.
I have been prevented from writing to you before by my distress at the queen's death. I am grateful for your assurance about the three thousand ducats, which I had almost given up for lost. There are more and more complaints here about his majesty's slowness, which I hope may not endanger the life of the princess.
London, 21 January, 1535 (O.S.)
Signed, Eustache Chapuys. French. pp. 2. Calendared in L. & P. X, 54.
