1662 ? 366. Petition of Sir Edward Ford, Knt. [of Harting, Sussex], to the King. That the Government of the Bermudas is enjoyed by a small number of tradesmen who have incorporated themselves, under pretence of a Charter depending upon the old vacated Charter of Virginia, and usurped sovereignty over his Majesty's subjects there.
