83. Gualter of Twilley, Governor of the Dutch plantation, to Governor [John Winthrop] of Massachusetts Bay. Concerning the right of the Dutch to the [Hudson?] river. Has taken possession of it in the name of the States General and set up a house on the north side with intent to plant. Desires he will defer his claim until their superior magistrates are agreed.
