Mandate—recapitulating the letters by which the pope has this day ordered them to cause Cornelius Omachan, priest, of the diocese of Achonry (who is of a stock of kings and dukes, and who was lately dispensed by papal authority, as the son of unmarried parents related in the double fourth degree of kindred, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure) to be received as a monk of the Cistercian monastery of St. Mary, Boyle, in the diocese of Elphin, to which by the favours of his parents and friends he could be of great service, and to receive his profession—if they find him fit, and after he has been received etc. as above, to make provision to him of the said monastery, value not exceeding 60 marks sterling, void by the death of Donald Omochan; summoning and removing Cormac Macdavid, a monk thereof, who by his own temerity and without any right has intruded himself in the abbatial dignity and the rule and administration, and has unduly detained the same for more than two years; whether it be void as stated, or by the death of Thady Macdermada, or in any other way. Mandate—the pope having been informed by Rory Macdonchyd, a canon of the Augustinian monastery of St. Mary, Rosscomayn, in the diocese of Elphin, that Cornelius Maccearryd, abbot of the Augustinian monastery of St. Mary, Asdara, in the diocese of Achonry, has dilapidated goods etc. thereof, is a public perjurer, and (no mention having been made in the provision to him of the said monastery that he was blind of one eye, and no sufficient dispensation having been obtained by him) has unduly detained possession thereof—if Rory (who is professed of the said order and in his twenty-third year, and who was lately dispensed by authority of the ordinary, as the son of unmarried parents related in the second and third and other third and third degrees of affinity, to be promoted to minor orders and hold a benefice without cure) will accuse Cornelius before them etc. as usual, to summon Cornelius, and if they find the above to be true, to deprive Cornelius, and in that event to collate and assign the said monastery, value not exceeding 40 marks sterling, to Rory. the deanery of Ferns, of which provision was ordered to be made to him, and who, from fear of Thomas's power, cannot safely meet him within the city or diocese of Ferns) will accuse Thomas, before them etc. as usual, to summon Thomas, and if they find the above to be true, to deprive him, and in that event to make provision of the said monastery, value not exceeding 24 marks sterling, to Patrick; whether it become void by such deprivation, or be void by the death of Nicholas Odrufyn or in any other way. Mandate—the pope having been informed by John Oragillich, a canon of the Augustinian monastery of St. Mary de Kenlys in the diocese of Meath, that John, abbot thereof, has dilapidated many of its goods and committed perjury—if Oragillich (who has made his profession, and who was lately dispensed by papal authority, as the son of a priest, professed of the said order and abbot, and an unmarried woman, to be elected etc. to any dignities, even abbatial, priories etc. of the said order, even elective and with cure and who, for fear of abbot John's power cannot safely meet him in the city [sic] or diocese of Meath—if Oragillich will accuse abbot John before them etc., to summon abbot John, and if they find the above to be true, to deprive him, and in that event to make provision of the said monastery, value not exceeding 60 marks sterling, to Oragillich; whether it become void by such deprivation, or be void by the death of the late John Oragillich or in any other way.
