Mandate—the pope having been recently informed by Odo Macdiarmada, monk of the Cistercian monastery of St. Mary, Boyle (de Buellio), in the diocese of Elphin, that Cormac, abbot thereof, besides neglecting divine service, leads an immodest life, dilapidates the property of the monastery, and has committed simony more than once—if Odo will accuse Cormac in the above prior's presence, to summon Cormac and others concerned, and if he find the above charges, or sufficient thereof, to be true, to deprive Cormac, and in that event to make provision of the said abbey, the value of whose abbatial mensa does not exceed 16 marks, to the said Odo, who has made only a private profession of the said order, after he has made his public profession thereof; whether the abbey be void by such deprivation, or by the death of Eugenius Meicdonnchaid, or in any other way.
