This volume, the last of the Vatican Registers of Eugenius IV, contains, not letters of that pope, but of ‘Franciscus, etc.,’ as most of the letters begin, that is the pope's nephew and chamberlain (Francis Condulmarus of Venice, who was made cardinal priest of St. Clement's in 1431, and bishop of Porto about 1445, dying in 1453, commonly called the cardinal of Venice), and a few of Angelus, bishop of Arba, the locum tenens of the chamberlain, and ‘Daniel etc.’ The volume is described on the back as ‘T. 25’ and ‘Eug. IV. offic. Li. iv.,’ and by de Prætis on a flyleaf as ‘Eugenius IV. Officiorum Tom. IV.’ With vol. CCCLXXXV begin the Vatican Registers of Nicholas V.
