Mandate to collate and assign to Robert Olenachan, clerk, of the diocese of Connor (who lately had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman related in the fourth and fourth degrees of kindred, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure), the rectory of St. Mary's, Baliregneansey alias Synston, in the said diocese, value not exceeding 7 marks, void by the resignation to bishop John of Andrew Micachonduachtay. Mandate to collate and assign to Patrick Makene, clerk, of the diocese of Ossory (who, the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, has received the tonsure), the rectory, value not exceeding 8 marks, of Durmach in that diocese, void because Syllafyntan Obecayn has obtained, by authority of the ordinary, the perpetual vicarage of Offarchollayn in the same diocese. Mandate to collate and assign to Thomas Husey, priest, of the diocese of Meath, the perpetual vicarage of St. Nicholas, Dundalk, in the diocese of Armagh, of the patronage of laymen, and value not exceeding 40 marks, so long void that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, because John Taylour obtained, by authority of the ordinary and held therewith for several years without dispensation, the rectory of Kene in the same diocese; whether it be void as above, or by the resignation of Patrick Oweyn, or otherwise. 1418. 14 Kal. July. Geneva. (f. 33.)	To the bishop of Dunkeld and the abbots of Saint-Maixent (Sancti Maxencii) and Balmurynagth in the dioceses of Poitiers and St. Andrews. Mandate to collate and assign to William Croyser, canon of Dunkeld, M.A., who is a student of theology at Paris, the parish church (cf. p. 66) of Ennerlithan in the diocese of Glasgow (cf. ibid.), value not exceeding 40l. of old sterlings, void by the death of James Walteri; notwithstanding that he holds a canonry and prebend of Dunkeld, value not exceeding 6l., holds in commendam by papal grant the parish church of Kirlgonzan (sic), value not exceeding 20l., that the parish church of Magna Kaveris in the diocese of Glasgow, value not exceeding 80l., was formerly granted to him by papal authority, that the pope has by separate letters ordered provision to be made to him, first of a canonry and prebend and the precentorship, a non-major dignity, of Moray, value not exceeding 60l., and afterwards of a canonry and prebend of Glasgow and the archdeaconry of Teviotdale (Thevidake rectius Thevidalie) therein, an office with cure, value not exceeding 80l., has further granted him provision of a benefice with or without cure in the gift of the bishop and chapter of Aberdeen, has dispensed him, by the said first letters, to hold together for three years the said precentorship and church of Magna Kaveris, and has by the said second letters prolonged by five years the period of the said commenda from the time of obtaining the said archdeaconry, on condition that upon obtaining the archdeaconry he should resign Magna Kaveris and the canonry and prebend and precentorship of Moray, if he should meanwhile have obtained them. The pope hereby dispenses him to hold Enverlithan and the said archdeaconry together for five years, provided that, upon obtaining Enverlithan, he shall resign Magna Kaveris and the said canonry and prebend and precentorship of Moray; and requires that after the lapse of the said five years, he shall resign either Enverlithan or the said archdeaconry, and that, upon obtaining Enverlithan, the above grant of a benefice with or without cure shall be null and void, as far as regards a benefice with cure or a dignity or personatus. 12 Kal. July. Geneva. (f. 43.)	To the bishop of Arezzo (Aretin.), the abbot of Leix (de Lege dei) in the diocese of Leighlin, and Thady Obryn, canon of Leighlin. Mandate to collate and assign to John Mackeyni, rector of Ofargillan in the diocese of Ossory (who has had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc. as above, f. 10), the rectory of Achadbo (also written Achabdo) in the said diocese, of the patronage of laymen, value not exceeding 12 marks, so long void, because the late William Ymolbardan held it for more than a year without having himself ordained priest and without dispensation super hoc, that its collation has by the Lateran statutes lapsed to the apostolic see; notwithstanding that he lately had provision by papal authority of the above church of Ofargillan, value not exceeding 16 marks, of which he has not got possession, which and all right to which he is to resign upon obtaining Achadbo under these presents. Mandate to collate and assign to Thady Ohiernayn, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe (who has had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest, O.S.A., and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc. as in the preceding), the rectory of Birra in the said diocese, of the patronage of laymen, value not exceeding 16 marks, so long void by the death of Henry Macorcrayn that its collation has by the Lateran statutes lapsed to the apostolic see; whether it became void as above, or because Marianus Okearwill held it for more than a year without having himself ordained priest and without dispensation super hoc. Mandate to collate and assign to Thomas Ograda, perpetual vicar of Kilcurnain in the diocese of Limerick (who says he is of noble birth and has studied canon and civil law for some time, and who has had papal dispensation, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc., as in the preceding), the rectory of Cromayht (also written Cromayth) in the said diocese, of the patronage of laymen, value not exceeding 16 marks, void because John Orybardam held it for more than a year without having himself ordained priest, and without dispensation super hoc; notwithstanding that papal provision has been made to him of the above vicarage of K[i]lcurnayn, value not exceeding 6 marks, of which he has not got possession, and which he is hereby dispensed to hold for life together with the above rectory. Mandate to collate and assign to Donald Ocuynd, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe, the rectory, commonly called of Obracayn, of the parish churches of Colleboum and Kyllnafearbagy, in the said diocese, which is of the patronage of laymen and whose value does not exceed 12 marks, void because Philip Oflanagayn held it for more than a year etc., as in the preceding; whether it became void as above, or by the death at the apostolic see of Matthew Meicgillapadraug, or otherwise. Mandate to collate and assign to Peter Ocosuechan, rector of St. Patrick's, Culrathyn alias Culrath, in the diocese of Connor (who was formerly dispensed, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, by letters of the papal penitentiary, to be promoted etc., as above, f. 10, which letters, after he had held for some time the perpetual vicarage of Roserchain in the said diocese, and had had himself promoted to all orders as above, were found, by the confession in articulo mortis of the person who had procured them, to be invalid by erasures and otherwise; who, upon this discovery, resigned the said vicarage and obtained papal dispensation to minister in his said orders and hold a like benefice, after which last dispensation he obtained the above rectory of Culrathyn), the perpetual vicarage of St. Colman's de Daerecaechain alias de Dirkirchan in the said diocese, value not exceeding 10 marks, void by the death of John Pathun; notwithstanding that he holds the above rectory, the cure of souls of which is exercised by a perpetual vicar, and whose value does not exceed 5 marks. Mandate, the pope having been informed by Donatus Oheimgayn, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe, that Cornelius Ohanly, rector of Findmach in the said diocese, has been guilty of theft and perjury and other crimes, to summon Cornelius, and if Donatus will accuse him, and if he find the charges true, to deprive Cornelius and to collate and assign to Donatus the said rectory, which is of the patronage of laymen and whose value does not exceed 9 marks; provided that the consent of the patron be forthcoming. Mandate to collate and assign to Odo Chogayn (rectius Ohogayn), clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe (who is of noble birth and has studied canon law for three years, and who has had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc., as above, f. 10) the rectory of Balynacloiche in the said diocese, value not exceeding 8 (cf. below, p. 91) marks, so long void that there is no certain knowledge of the manner of voidance.
