1405. 16 Kal. Dec. Viterbo. (f. 4.)	To the bishops of Adria and Clonfert and the dean of Ardagh. Mandate to collate and assign to Findbardus Omuealinnain, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Kilglass (de Kyllglayo) in the diocese of Elphin, the deanery of Elphin, a major dignity with cure, value not exceeding 30 marks, void by the death of Malachy Oflannagan; notwithstanding that he holds the said perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 4 marks, and that Boniface IX lately [Cal. Lett. V, p. 364] ordered provision to be made to him of that of St. Bernanus de Manso in the said diocese, value not exceeding 2 marks, both of which, upon obtaining possession of the deanery, he is to resign. 1406. 6 Kal. June. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 34d.)	To John Ohedian, canon of Cashel, B.C.L. Reservation of the archdeaconry of Cashel, value not exceeding 30 marks, even if it be a major elective dignity with cure, provision of which, expected to become void by the promotion, made by the pope, and by the approaching consecration of Richard elect of Cashel, who still holds it, the pope recently made to John Okurke, clerk, of the diocese of Ossory, who, the letters of his provision not having been made out, has resigned to the pope all right thereto. Litterarum sciencia, vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Adria, the abbot of Holycross (de Sanctacruce) in the diocese of Cashel and the dean of Cashel. Litterarum etc. (Water-stained.) [Sec f. 143.]

Id. May. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 63.)	To John Ixworth, rector of Sevenok in the diocese of Rochester, D.C.L. Reservation of the canonry and prebend of Exeter, value not exceeding 6 marks, which are shortly to become void by the promotion, made by the pope, and the approaching consecration of Robert, elect of York; notwithstanding that he lately [Cal. Lett. IV, p. 500] received papal dispensation to hold for life with Sevenok one other benefice with cure, even if it were a dignity with cure, personatus or office, in a metropolitan or cathedral [or collegiate] church, and such dignity were major in a metropolitan or cathedral, or principal in a collegiate church, and were elective, and to resign both, for exchange or otherwise, as often as seemed good to him, and hold instead two similar or dissimilar incompatible benefices, after which he obtained the parish church of Cokefeld in the diocese of Norwich; and that he holds a canonry and prebend in Suthwell, the value of all which does not exceed 150 marks; and that he has obtained in the apostolic palace a definitive sentence about the canonry and prebend of Bole in York [see Cal. Lett. V, p. 596], and that the pope recently made provision to him of canonries of Salisbury and Chichester, with expectations of prebends thereof and of a dignity, even if with cure, major and elective, personatus or office of one of them, under which he has received provision of the prebends of Heyworth in Salisbury and Ferryng in Chichester, with canonries, whereof he has not yet obtained possession, the value of which and of the said canonry and prebend of York does not exceed 230 marks. 16 Kal. May. St. Peter's Rome. (f. 95.)	To William Oduyr, clerk, of the diocese of Cashel. Reservation to him—who has had papal dispensation, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure—of the canonry and prebend of Tallaghbrek in Limerick, value not exceeding 15 [water-stained] marks, to become void by the promotion, made by the pope, and the approaching consecration of Richard, elect of Cashel; notwithstanding that he holds, by collation lately made to him by the ordinary, in the belief that under the said dispensation it was lawful, the canonry and prebend of Kilmilchen in Cashel, from which he has not received a gold florin a year, and which he is to resign. He is hereby dispensed to hold the said canonry and prebend of Limerick, notwithstanding his said defect. Vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishops of Adria and Emly and the archdeacon of Cashel. Vite etc.
1406. 8 Kal. Feb. Viterbo. (f. 107d.)	To the archdeacon of Kermerdyn in St. Davids. Mandate to receive the resignation which Richard Petir, canon of St. Davids, proposes to make of his canonry and prebend called cursal (cursalem), and to collate and assign the same, value not exceeding 10 marks, to Thomas Tholite, clerk, of Chichester, if found fit after examination. The archdeacon is to see that there be no simony on the part of Richard or Thomas. Dignum [arbitramur].
7 Id. March. Viterbo. (f. 130.)	To the archdeacon of Cloyne. Mandate at the recent petition of Philip Ohaylle, clerk, of the diocese of Cloyne—containing that formerly, on the voidance of the canonry and prebend of Balagathin in Cloyne by the death of Gerald, son of the late Maurice [son] of Richard de Geraldinis, Maurice, son of the late John de Rupe, baron, baron of the barony of Fermoy in the said diocese, to whom was reserved in the foundation of the said church the right of presenting to the said prebend, simoniacally presented to bishop Gerald Thomas Ogealvayn, priest, of the said diocese, who, instituted by that bishop, still detains possession—seeing that, if this be the case, the said canonry and prebend are still void, if Philip will accuse Thomas, to summon Thomas and others concerned, and decree what is canonical without appeal, and, if he sentence Thomas to be removed, to collate and assign the canonry and prebend, value not exceeding 20 marks, to Philip. 8 Id. April. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 143.)	To John Ocurke, clerk, of the diocese of Ossory. Reservation to him—who lately received papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure—of the canonry and prebend of St. Malla in Ossory and the perpetual vicarage of Fithard in the diocese of Cashel, value together not exceeding 40 marks, provision of which, expected to become void by the promotion, made by the pope, and by the approaching consecration of Richard, elect of Cashel, who still holds them, the pope recently made to John Ohedian, clerk, of the said diocese [of Cashel] who, the letters of his provision not having been made out, has resigned to the pope all right thereto; notwithstanding that papal provision has lately been made to him of the parish church of Kilucg in the diocese of Ferns, value not exceeding 15 marks. He is hereby dispensed, on account of his said illegitimacy, to hold the said canonry and prebend and vicarage, upon obtaining which vicarage he is to resign Kilucg. Vite etc.

1405. Non. Dec. Viterbo. (f. 202.)	To the chancellor and Robert Okely and John Olongayn, canons, of Killaloe. Mandate to collate and assign to Malachy Ohogayn, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe—who has this day received papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure—the parish church of Magsege in the said diocese, value not exceeding 10 marks, void because Theobald Cantewell held it for a year and more without having himself ordained priest and without dispensation; although Thady Chabachn, clerk, of the said diocese, who is to be removed, unduly detains possession. 1406. 14 Kal. Feb. Viterbo. (f. 211d.)	To John Nappere. Collation and provision to him, a priest, of the perpetual vicarage of Sidlisham in the diocese of Chichester, value not exceeding 40 marks, void and reserved by the death at the apostolic see of Richard Bakhouis. Vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the archbishops of Canterbury and Taranto and the archdeacon of Canterbury. Vite etc.
1405. 4 Kal. Jan. Viterbo. (f. 216d.)	To the prior of Saints Island (?) (de Insula Omnium Sanctorum?), water-stained) in the diocese of Ardagh, and the dean and archdeacon of Ardagh. Mandate to collate and assign to Andrew Macheydan, perpetual vicar of Cluain in the diocese of Ardagh—who has had papal dispensation, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure—the rectory of Regles in the said diocese, value not exceeding 4 marks, void by the death of Nicholas Macheydan, although Gilasius Macheydan, priest, of the said diocese, who is to be removed, wrongfully detains possession: notwithstanding that Andrew holds the said vicarage, value not exceeding 5 marks, with which he is hereby dispensed to hold the rectory for life. Vite etc. [The latter part of the volume is very much water-stained and to a large extent fallen to pieces.]
1406 (?). 5 Id. Feb. (?) Viterbo. (f. 233d.)	To the bishop of Piacenza, the prior of Dearg in the diocese of Ardagh and the dean of Ardagh. Mandate to collate and assign to Charles Macarmayc, clerk, of the diocese of Ardagh—who has lately had papal dispensation, as the son of and unmarried man and an unmarried woman related in the fourth and fourth degree of kindred, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure—the perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 10 marks, of Rahtclayn (sic) in the said diocese, void by the resignation of Richard Jergail. He is hereby dispensed to hold the vicarage and to resign it, simply or for exchange, and hold instead another benefice with or without cure. Vite etc.

1406 (?). 5 Non. March (?) Viterbo. (f. 246.)	To the prior of Dearg in the diocese of Ardagh, and the dean and archdeacon of Ardagh. Mandate to collate and assign to Charles Maccarmuyc, clerk, of the diocese of Ardagh, the perpetual benefices without cure, called the rectories, of Theachsynychi and Theachsynaca, situated within the bounds of the parish churches of Theachsynychi and Theachsynaca, in the said diocese, value not exceeding 3 and 4 marks, so long void that there is no certain knowledge of the mode of their voidance, and that their collation has by the Lateran statutes lapsed to the apostolic see, although Thomas Macmurc[ ]aca[n?], who is to be removed, wrongfully detains possession; notwithstanding that Charles has lately had papal dispensation, as above, f. 233d., after which dispensation the pope ordered [ibid.] provision to be made to him, duly ordained clerk, of the perpetual vicarage of Ratheclaeyn in the said diocese, value not exceeding 10 marks, and has dispensed him to hold and exchange it, as above, ibid. He is hereby dispensed to hold the said two benefices without cure, with the said vicarage or other benefice obtained in its place, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, and hold instead two similar or dissimilar compatible benefices.
