Lateran Regesta, Vol. CLXXVII (fn. 2)

5 John XXIII (contd.)

De Prebendis Vacantibus

1415.
3 Non. March.
Constance.
(f. 75.)
To the bishop of Norwich. Mandate to collate and assign to John Hody, canon of Wells, if found fit, the canonry and prebend of Exeter, value not exceeding 3 marks, which became void and reserved at the apostolic see by the death there of Thomas Tavnton; notwithstanding that he holds a canonry and prebend and the precentorship of Wells and the chapel, without cure, of Ryme in the diocese of Salisbury, value altogether not exceeding 160 marks. Dignum arbitramur.

De Beneficiic Vacantibus

1414.
18 Kal. Jan.
Constance.
(f. 175.)
To the bishop of Todi (Tudertin.), the prior of Monaincha (Insula vivencium) in the diocese of Killaloe, and the archdeacon of Killaloe. Mandate to collate and assign to Cornellus (sic) Chamly (sic), clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe—who is the son of a deacon and an unmarried woman, and to whom, after he had received the tonsure, the pope ordered provision to be made of the precentorship of Killaloe, a non-major dignity with cure, value not exceeding 8 marks, and granted dispensation to be promoted to all, even holy orders, and hold the said precentorship or other benefice with cure—the rectory, value not exceeding 6 marks, and of the patronage of laymen, of Fynnverth in the said diocese, so long void (because William (Willyalmus) Ohanly held it for more than a year without having himself ordained priest) that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see. Vite ac morum. (Pro deo.)
1415.
3 Non. April.
Laufenburg.
(f. 270.)
To the bishop of Volterra, the abbot of Macosquin (de Claro Fonte) in the diocese of Derry, and Henry Odubaill, canon of Derry. Mandate to collate and assign to John Ocosuechan, clerk, of the diocese of Connor, who lately had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders, and hold a benefice even with cure, the perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 5 marks, of Rashercan in the said diocese, void by the death of Donatus Ocosuechan. Vite etc. (Franciscus viii. (?), residuum pro deo (?), de Agello.). [The terminal subscription is almost invisible on account of waterstains.]
