To the bishop of Saint-Pol-de-Léon (Leonen.), the abbot of Loos (de Laude) in the diocese of Tournai, and the official of Paris. Mandate to collate and assign to John de Caruyn (or Carnyn), archdeacon of Bangor, who, he says, is of knightly race, a canonry and prebend of the church of Seclin (de Siclinio) in the diocese of Tournai, value, to a non-resident, not exceeding 30l. petits Tournois; notwithstanding that he has had provision, by authority of the ordinary, of the archdeaconry of the church of Bangor, and that the pope has made him provision of a benefice with or without cure in the common or several gift of the dean and chapter of St. Amatus's, Douai (de Duaco), in the diocese of Arras. Upon obtaining the above canonry and prebend he is, as he has offered, to resign the archdeaconry. Nobilitas generis, vite etc. |

Mandate to collate and assign to John Mackalnaird, priest, of Ferns—who has had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, and to whom Boniface IX ordered provision to be made of the parish church of St. Bridget in Kyllruys in the said diocese, dispensing him to hold one, two or three other mutually compatible benefices with or without cure, even if canonries and prebends, dignities, major or principal respectively, personatus
or offices in cathedral or collegiate churches, even elective benefices, and to resign the said church and them, simply or for exchange, and hold instead similar or dissimilar benefices; and who, after obtaining and holding for some time the said church, has resigned it—the prebend of Kilrus in Ferns, value, with the canonry, not exceeding 24 marks, void because Roger Gryt has obtained another prebend in the same church. Mandate to collate and assign to Donald Macka[t]mail, clerk, of the diocese of Dublin—who is, he says, of ducal race, is skilled in canon law, has for more than fourteen years, by no fault of his own, but on account of the power of certain enemies of his ancestors (predecessorum), been an exile, and has had papal dispensation, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure—the canonry and prebend of Nurnny in Leighlin, and the precentorship, said by some to be annexed thereto, value not exceeding 10 marks, void by the resignation to bishop Richard of William de Nuys; notwithstanding that the pope has lately ordered provision to be made to him of the archdeaconry of Gleantalachat in Dublin, a nonmajor dignity with cure, and of the rectory of Gildigni in the said diocese, value not exceeding 40 and 28 marks respectively, of neither of which he has yet got possession, and has dispensed him to hold both together for life.
