To the bishop of Raphoe. Mandate to collate and assign to Patrick Mackamnayl, scholar, of the diocese of Clogher—who is in his eighteenth year, and whom the pope has ordered to be dispensed, as the son of a priest and unmarried woman related fivefold in the double second and third degrees of affinity, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold any mutually compatible benefices with or without cure, of any number and kind, even if canonries and prebends and dignities, even major or principal respectively and elective, personatus or offices, in metropolitan, cathedral or collegiate churches, and to resign them for exchange or otherwise as often as he pleased and hold instead similar or dissimilar mutually compatible benefices—after he has received the tonsure and if found fit in Latin, the rectory, called the comorbanship (comharbania), value not exceeding 40 marks, of St. Tyrgennaty's, Cluaneys, in the diocese of Clogher, void by the resignation of John Macganemarth. To the bishop of Tuy, and the archdeacon and Nemerus Odalyd, canon, of Ardfert. Mandate to collate and assign to John Osullebayn, clerk, of the diocese of Ardfert, the perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 12 marks, of Kyllcrochayn in the said diocese, void by the resignation to bishop William of Dermit Yhullebayn; notwithstanding that John is litigating about the perpetual vicarage of Byllmanncayn (sic), and that the pope has recently granted him provision of a certain benefice without cure, then about to become void, in the said diocese, the value of both (omnium) of which does not exceed 10 marks, and of canonries with expectations of prebends of Ardfert and Ross. He is hereby dispensed to hold Kyllcrochayn for one year with Kyllmanncayn. Within the year he is to exchange one of the two vicarages for another benefice compatible with the remaining one; otherwise he is to resign Kyllmanncayn. Vite etc. |

To the precentor of Ardfert. Mandate to collate and assign to John Ykeleachair, priest, of the diocese of Ardfert, if found fit in Latin, the perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 8 marks, of Mogoflahyn, in that diocese. This day—on its being set forth to the pope on John's behalf that formerly, the said vicarage having become void because the late Reynaldus (sic) Okeleachair had held it for a year or more without having himself ordained priest and without dispensation, and having been so long void that its collation had lapsed to the apostolic see, bishop William made collation and provision of it to him by his ordinary authority, under which he obtained possession; that after he had detained the vicarage for some time he similarly obtained collation, by the same authority, of the then void parish church of Cnochunys (sic), in the said diocese, and detained the vicarage and Cnochannys (sic) together for a year and more; and that afterwards, having been deprived of Cnochannys (sic) by the said authority he detained only the vicarage—the pope has, by other letters, rehabilitated him, and has required him to resign the vicarage. Seeing that, according to the above, the vicarage is still void by the said non-promotion of Raymundus(sic), the pope orders its collation, as above. Dignum arbitramur. |
