1401. 2 Kal. Feb. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 6d.)	To the bishops of Tuy and Achonry, and Paul Osommochan, canon of Elphin. Mandate to collate and assign to Cormac Ocoymiean, priest, of the diocese of Achonry—who has been dispensed by the present pope as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman (i) to be promoted to all holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, (ii) to hold canonries and prebends and dignities in cathedral or metropolitan churches, even a major and elective dignity—the archdeaconry of Achonry, a [nonmajor] dignity with cure, value not exceeding 6 marks, void because Odo Macguillichaenygel alias Macabrechim obtained and held it with the vicarage, which has cure, of Kyllturud in the said diocese, without dispensation; notwithstanding that Cormac holds the rectory. value also not exceeding 6 marks, of the lands of Cuilofind and Ranna, in the same diocese, together with which he has hereby dispensation to hold the archdeaconry for life. Non. Oct. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 44.)	To the bishop of Telese, the prior of Seyir in the diocese of Ossory, and Eugene Omyanachan, canon of Killaloe. Mandate to collate and assign to Donald Olanagam, perpetual vicar of Dirrhi and Bree, in the diocese of Dublin—whose recent petition contained that John Whyt, priest, of the diocese of Leighlin, received papal dispensation as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman to be promoted to all, even holy orders, and hold a benefice even with cure; after which, having been so promoted and having obtained the rectory of Mulynncufid [in the diocese of Leighlin], he, without further dispensation, exchanged it with Nicholas Dennys for the archdeaconry of Leighlin, a dignity with cure, the exchange being carried out by the late bishop John—the said archdeaconry, value not exceeding 20 marks, still void by the resignation of Nicholas; notwithstanding that Donald holds the said perpetual vicarage, value not exceeding 8 marks, which he is to resign upon obtaining the archdeaconry. 19 Kal. Feb. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 50d.)	To Raymund (Renundo) de Bremigham. Provision of the provostship of Tuam, value not exceeding 3 marks, void and reserved to the pope by William Rany's obtaining, by papal collation, the deanery of Tuam, a dignity; although Dermit Omurchuayn, vicar of Kilconayl in the diocese of Clonfert, unduly detains it; notwithstanding that Raymund holds the parish church of Raharanay (sic) in the diocese of Tuam, value not exceeding 14 marks. He is hereby dispensed to hold both together for life. Vite etc. [See below, p.374.]

1400. 7 Kal. Dec. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 104d.)	To Maurice Ocoggran. Provision of the canonry and prebend of Claismora ab infra in Lismore, value not exceeding 4 marks, void and reserved to Urban VI by the promotion by that pope, and by the consecration, of John Coltow (sic) to the see of Armagh, and reserved to the present pope, Urban VI, having died without disposing thereof; notwithstanding that he holds the rectory of Dirrigalwan, in the diocese of Limerick, value not exceeding 4 marks, and that the pope has recently ordered provision to be made to him of a benefice, with or without cure, in the common or several gift of the bishop and chapter of Lismore, and of the dean and each of the canons and persone of Limerick. Vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishops of Telese and Limerick, and the dean of Cloyne. [The letter is scattered over ff. 104d, 108r and d, and 107r respectively.] Vite etc.
1401. 16 Kal. April. St. Peter's. Rome. (f. 138d.)	To the abbot of Cumhre in the diocese of St. Davids. Mandate to collate and assign to Gruffuth ap Davit, perpetual vicar of Llannavannwe in the said diocese, the canonry and prebend of Lanelweth in Abergwily, value not exceeding 10 marks, so long void by the resignation made by William Gower to bishop Guy that their collation has, by the statutes of the Lateran Council, lapsed to the apostolic see. If Gruffuth be found able to read, construe, sing and speak Latin well, or if he swear to learn to sing within a year he is to have the same even if the prebend have cure; if not, and if he do not so swear, he is to have the same if the prebend be without cure; notwithstanding that he holds the said vicarage, value not exceeding 30 marks. [9 Nov. 1400— 8 Nov. 1401.] St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 164d.)	To the priors of Glasscarryg and Ryllytlug (sic), in the dioceses of Ferns and Kildare, and Eugene Omaenachayn, canon of Killaloe. [Mandate to collate and assign to] Odo Obecayn, clerk, of the diocese of Kildare—who has had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure—the rectory of Lega, in that diocese, of lay patronage, void by the death of Cornelius Omurchuay, although John Blacg, priest, of the same diocese, unduly detains it. Vite etc. [Unfinished and cancelled with a pen stroke, without marginal note.]
1401. 3 Non. March. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 164d.)	To Cormac Ocoymiean, rector of Cuilofynd and Reanna, in the diocese of Achonry. Provision to him, who has had papal dispensations, as above, f. 6d, of the canonry of Achonry and prebend called Kyllachracht, in the said diocese, value not exceeding 5 marks, void and reserved to the pope by the death at the apostolic see of Bernard Ogara, although Luke Ociaragan unduly detains it; even though it became void by the death without the Roman court of John Omochan, or in any other way, and notwithstanding that he holds his said rectory (here with spelling Rancia), value not exceeding 8 marks, and that the pope has recently ordered provision to be made to him [f. 6d] of the archdeaconry of Achonry, a non-major dignity [with cure], value not exceeding 6 marks, and has dispensed him to hold it for life together with his said rectory. Vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishops of Tuy and Achonry, and Maurice Ocoyneoil, canon of Elphin. Vite etc.
Kal. Feb. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 214.)	To Donald Oconallam, clerk, of the diocese of Kildare. Reservation to him—who has lately had papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders, and hold a benefice with or without cure —of the canonry and prebend of Rahemgani in Kildare, value not exceeding 10 marks, about to become void by the pope's promotion, and by the forthcoming consecration, of Thomas, elect of Lismore; with dispensation to hold the same notwithstanding his illegitimacy. Vite etc.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Telese, the prior of Killechi in the diocese of Kildare, and Eugene Omuncayn, canon of Killaloe. Vite etc.

Id. Jan. St. Peter's, Rome (f. 286d.)	To Master John Preue, dean of Dublin, doctor of canon and civil law, papal chaplain. Indult for seven years to him, who is also auditor of causes of the apostolic palace, to take and let to any, even lay, persons, the fruits of his deanery and any other benefices while studying letters at an university, or engaged in the service of any prelate or temporal lord, or residing in the Roman court or in an honest place or one of his benefices. Grata tue devocionis.
