Surrogation to Robert Abot of Wydweston, of the diocese of Lincoln, in his right to the church of Fenny Drayton, about which he was litigating with John Elys of Hilton, of the diocese of Ely, before his death at the apostolic see, a definitive sentence having been given against John. [Cal. Pet. i. 125.]

To Ralph Thurstein, S.C.L. Surrogation to Robert atte Cherche of Gunthorp, since deceased at the apostolic see, in his right to the church of St. Mary Magdalen, Milk Street, London, of which he was despoiled by William de Messingham, against whom a sentence was given by John Haberti, papal auditor; upon which William appealed to the pope, who commissioned Master Peter Fabri to proceed in the matter. The said sentence was confirmed, and on a further appeal of William, Master Peter de Talliata was commissioned to hear the case, with power to excommunicate and cite William, and Hugh Hallingbury, donsel; thereafter Robert died.

To Nicholas de Dodington, perpetual chaplain of Hornington in the diocese of Bath. Surrogation to Robert Kene, since deceased, in his right to the church of SS. Philip and James, Bristol, of which he had papal provision, and about which a question arose between him and Richard and John le Smale, John being said to be the patron of the said church. The cause was committed to Bernard de Turre, papal auditor, who cited them.
