Mandate to call before them Anthony Beck, papal chaplain, dean and canon of Lincoln, and the chapter and canons of the same, and cause them to exhibit all the instruments, register, and customary of that church touching the cause between the said parties about the visitation and correction of canons, vicars, and beneficiaries, committed by John XXII. to a papal auditor. The present pope ordered another papal auditor to send all the papers and interrogatories to him, but the register and customary were kept back.

Mandate to grant a dispensation to Master John de Brunham, B.C.L. to retain the rectory of Felmersham, he having been already dispensed on account of illegitimacy, and after obtaining a benefice, got also, without papal dispensation, a canonry of Abergwilli and the slender prebend of Montref in the same, value 5l. Thereafter, at the king's request, John XXII. gave him a dispensation on resigning the benefice to accept Felmersham in the king's gift, value 40 marks, but the pope died before the letters were expedited.
