1486. 7 Id. April. (7 April.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 26v.)	To Edmund Russell and James Russell, canons of Lismore, and the official of the same. Mandate to collate and assign to Maurice Suppyeall [sic], clerk, of the diocese of Limerick (Limir [ic]en.), the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Tempulltune alias Tholachkheye in the diocese of Lismore, yearly value not exceeding 5 marks sterling, so long void that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Cornelius Odowayn, priest, of the said diocese of Lismore, who is to be summoned and removed, has detained it for between two and five years without any canonical title. 4 Id. May. (12 May.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 58v.)	To the bishop of Ardfert, the abbot of O'Dorney (de Kyrieleyson) in the diocese of Ardfert, and the archdeacon of Ardfert. Mandate, as below. The perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Rylfeurac [sic] in the diocese of Killaloe (Laon [i]en.) has become void by the resignation of Dermit Makahari to the pope, and therefore reserved to the pope, under his late reservation of all benefices void at the apostolic see. And the pope has learned that the wardenship (custodia) of Bolichotynd in the church of Juniis (recte Innys) (fn. 2) Rathid (recte Kathid) (fn. 3) in the said diocese has been so long void that its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Delmitius [sic] (fn. 4) Okynnella, priest, has detained it for between ten and twelve years without any title or right. The pope, therefore, at the recent petition of Donatus Macmahana, clerk, of the said diocese, hereby orders the above three (inasmuch as from fear of the power of the said Dermit Okinnella he cannot safely meet him in the city and diocese of Killaloe) to summon the said Dermit and others concerned, and if they find the said vicarage and wardenship (a simplex officium in the church of Junys [sic] Kathyd), yearly values not exceeding 12 and 6 marks sterling, respectively, to be void in any ways, etc., to erect the former into a prebend of Killaloe for the lifetime of the said Donatus, and to collate and assign to him a canonry of killaloe and such prebend and the said wardenship, removing the said Dermit Okynnella from the said wardenship, and from it and from the said vicarage any other unlawful detainers. 15 Kal. June. (18 May.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 97r.)	To David Cursy, archdeacon of Cork. Collation, etc., as below. His recent petition contained that on the successive voidance of the archdeaconry of Cork and the rectory of the parish church of Kynroyn [sic] in the diocese of Cork, which is of lay patronage, he got provision made to him by papal authority of the said archdeaconry, and the patron of the said rectory presented him to the bishop of Cork, who instituted him, in virtue of which he got possession of and at present holds them, having sufficient dispensation to hold together two benefices with cure or otherwise incompatible. His said petition adding that he fears lest the said provision, presentation, and institution do not hold good, and the pope having learned that the said archdeaconry and rectory are still void, the pope hereby makes him, who is of noble birth, collation and provision of the said rectory and archdeaconry, a nonmajor dignity with cure, the yearly value of each not exceeding 20 marks sterling; with mandate hereby to Philip Ronan and Philip Gullys, canons of Cork, and the official of the same, to induct him. To the abbot of the monastery of St. Mary, Baltinglass (de Valle salutis), in the diocese of Leighlin, the archdeacon of Leighlin, and (fn. 5) Fintan Olerchur, a canon of the same. Mandate, as below. The pope has learned that the rectory of the parish church of St. Brigid (sancte Brigide), Colymbruych, in the diocese of Leighlin, of lay patronage, has been so long void that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Cornelius Olerchur, clerk, has for some years detained it without any title or right. And the pope has been informed by Donatus Omorra, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Odagh (de Castro Duach) in the diocese of Ossory, that Donatus Oduylyng, perpetual vicar of the parish church of St. Mary de Arone, alias Dunalhac, in the said diocese of Leighlin, after having incurred, in accordance with the synodal constitutions of Leighlin, eo ipso sentence of excommunication by celebrating masses in a non-consecrated place (fn. 6) of the said diocese of Leighlin, has wittingly celebrated and taken part in masses and other divine offices in contempt of the Keys, even in the presence of persons publicly excommunicate and interdicted, thereby contracting irregularity. The pope, therefore, hereby orders the above three, if the said Donatus Omorra will accuse the said Donatus Oduylyng before them, to summon the latter and others concerned, and also those interested in the below-mentioned union, and if they find the foregoing to be true, and the said rectory to be void in any way, to deprive the said Donatus Oduylyng of the said vicarage of St. Mary's, and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign it, yearly value not exceeding 12 marks sterling, to the said Donatus Omorra, and, if it be collated to him, to unite to it, for as long as he shall hold it, the said rectory (which is near the said vicarage of St. Mary's, and in the presentation of the abbess and convent of the monastery of St. Augustine, Grane, O.S.A., in the diocese of Dublin, alias Glendalough (Glandoblanen. [sic]), and the yearly value of which does not exceed 4 marks sterling), removing from the said vicarage the said Donatus Oduylyng, and from the said rectory the said Cornelius. The pope further dispenses the said Donatus Omorra to receive and retain for life with the said vicarage of St. Mary's and the said annex the said vicarage of Odagh (de Castro Duach), and with one of them any other benefice, or without them any two other benefices, with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if they be parish churches, etc., and to resign them all, etc. Apostolice sedis providentia circumspecta.
