(f. 23v.)
To Thomas de Camera, priest, of the diocese of St. Andrews. Reservation to the pope's gift, for collation to him (who was lately dispensed by papal authority on account of illegitimacy, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, [even] holy orders, and receive and retain a benefice even with cure, and subsequently any compatible benefices, of any number and kind, with and without cure, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleased, and who in virtue of the said first dispensation has had himself promoted to all, even holy orders), of the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Kyrk[b]en in the diocese of Glasgow, value not exceeding 15l. sterling, which, on its voidance by the resignation of Alexander Stbart (recte Stvart) to the late Andrew, bishop of Glasgow, extra R.c., was collated by the said bishop Andrew to Andrew, [now bishop] elect of Orkney (Orchaden.), then of lower rank, (fn. 2) who obtained it in virtue of the said provision, and had held and possessed it for some time, and was holding it at the time of his promotion by the pope to the said church of Orkney, although he was not in possession of it, (fn. 3) by whose said promotion, and by the consecration which is to be conferred on him, it is to become void. Vite ac morum.
Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Brechin, the treasurer of Glasgow, and John Prioris de Guerrania, a canon of Vannes (Veneten.). Hodie cum perpetua vicaria parrochialis ecclesie de Kyrkben. (At the end: Jo. xii. x. Nono Kal. Aprilis anno sexto. Gerona.) [2⅓ pp.]

St. Peter's, Rome.
(f. 37r.)
To the abbot of Ballintober (de Fonte sancti Patricii) in the diocese of Tuam. Mandate, if he find lawful the resignation made by John Ohuband before Maurus Okarund, notary public, and witnesses, extra R.c., of the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Bellafen in the diocese of Tuam, to admit it by the pope's authority, and to collate and assign the said vicarage, value not exceeding 3 marks sterling, to Ludovicus Ohuband, clerk, of the diocese of Tuam, who is in or about his eighteenth year. The pope hereby dispenses him to receive and retain it, notwithstanding the said defect of age, etc. Dignum etc. (At the end: A. xxv. Quintodecimo Kal. Marcii anno sexto. de Petra.) [21/5 pp.]
Non. Feb.
(5 Feb.)
St. Peter's, Rome.
(f. 73r.)
To the dean of Annaghdown (Enachdunen.), and Richard Yoy and Odo Okallanan, canons of the same. Mandate, as below. The recent petition of Richard Olunryd (? recte Oluinyd), priest, of the diocese of Tuam, contained that on the voidance of the perpetual vicarage of the parish church of Turlaehomaeeyn (? recte Turlachomaceyn) in the diocese of Mayo, by the resignation of Rory Yconier to Odo, bishop of Mayo, extra R.c., the said bishop made collation and provision of the same to the said Richard, who in virtue thereof obtained it, and is still in possession, but doubts whether the said collation and provision hold good. The pope, therefore, hereby orders the above three to collate and assign the said vicarage, value not exceeding 3 marks sterling, to the said Richard. Vite etc. (At the end: Jo. xx. Quarto Kal. Marcii anno sexto. Gerona.) [12/3 pp.]

The pope hereby dispenses him to receive it, and to retain it for six months after getting possession in virtue of these presents, without being bound to take the habit and make his profession, but within the said six months he shall receive the habit and make his profession; if not, these presents shall be null and void. Concurrent mandate to the abbots, etc., as in the preceding. Hodie dilecto filio. (At the end: Jo. xvi. xiiii. Nono Kal. Aprilis anno sexto. Gerona.) [2½ pp.]

St. Peter's, Rome.
(f. 248r.)
To Thomas Ocongulain, dean of Achonry (Akaden.). Collation and provision to him (who holds inter alia the archdeaconry of the said church, and to whom provision has been made of a canonry of the same church) (fn. 5) of the said deanery, a major elective dignity with cure, value not exceeding 10 marks sterling, void at the apostolic see, and therefore ipso facto reserved, by the death there of Bernard Oconnean; whether it be so void, or be void because Odo Otedura, sometime dean, entered the house of Holy Trinity, Serin, of the order of Friar Hermits of St. Augustine, in the diocese of Meath, and made his profession therein, or be void in any other way. As soon as he obtains the deanery he is to resign the archdeaconry, and is eo ipso to cease being a canon of the said church. Vite etc.
Concurrent mandate to the bishop of Girgenti (Agrigentin.), the abbot of St. Mary's de Kenlys in the diocese of Meath, and the official of Achonry. Hodie dilecto filio Thome Ocungulami [sic]. (At the end: P. xii. x. Nono Kal. Martii anno sexto. de Varris.) [3¼ pp.]
15 Kal. April.
(18 March.)
St. Peter's, Rome.
(f. 284v.)
To the precentor and the treasurer of Cloyne (Clonen.), and John Fizmoris de Geraldinis, a canon of the same. Mandate, as below. The pope has been informed by Thomas Sawache, priest, of the diocese of Cloyne, that Thomas Dissethir, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Corkbeg (Corcagia Parva) in the said diocese, of lay patronage, has neglected to administer to divers of his parishioners the sacraments of Confession, Eucharist and Baptism, although lawfully requested by them, wherefore some of them have died without them. The pope, therefore, hereby orders the above three, after relaxing the below-mentioned oath by the pope's authority, if the said Thomas Sawache (who alleges that he was compelled by the said Thomas Dissethir and his friends by fear to swear not to impetrate the said vicarage, and who was lately dispensed by papal authority on account of illegitimacy, as the son of unmarried parents, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a certain benefice then void and collated to him by the said authority, and who in virtue of the said dispensation has had himself promoted to priest's orders), will accuse the said Thomas Dissethir before them, to summon the latter, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage, value not exceeding 8 marks sterling, to the said Thomas Sawache. The pope hereby dispenses him to receive and retain it, and to resign it, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases, notwithstanding the said defect, etc. Vite etc. (At the end: A. xxiiii. Pridie Kal. Aprilis anno sexto. de Petra.) [3¼ pp.]
