(f. 203.)		 To the abbot of the monastery of Fermoy (de Castro dei) in the diocese of Cloyne (Clonen.), the precentor of Cork, and Rory Macconmara, canon of Cloyne. Mandate (the pope having been informed by Maurice Stantin, (fn. 2) clerk, of the diocese of Cloyne, that Maurice Okyelliri, canon of Cork and precentor of Cloyne, and open fornicator, has dilapidated and converted to his profane and evil uses the goods of the said precentorship and of the prebend of Kylasbuicmellayn (fn. 3) in Cork, and committed perjury, and is defamed in those parts of many other excesses and crimes), if the said Maurice Stantin (to whom the pope has this day ordered provision to be made of a canonry of Cloyne and the prebend of Kahnultayn therein, value not exceeding 10 marks sterling, previously reserved to the pope's gift), will accuse the said Maurice Okyelliri before the above three, to summon the latter and others concerned, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said canonry and prebend, value not exceeding 12 marks sterling, and the said precentorship, a non-major dignity, value not exceeding 8 marks sterling, to the said Maurice Stantin. (f. 237.)		 To the bishops of Orte and Cloyne (Clonen.), and Rory Macconmara, canon of Cloyne. Mandate to collate and assign to Philip Stack, canon of Ardfert, who is in his twentysecond year and born of a lawful marriage, the archdeaconry of Ardfert, a non-major dignity, value not exceeding 24 marks sterling, void by the death without the Roman court of Brandan Fysmoris. The pope hereby specially dispenses him to receive and retain it, notwithstanding the said defect, etc. Vite etc. (P. and A. de Cortesiis. | P. xxvi. Quintodecimo Kal. Wenzel is wanting, as also the usual contemporary end-paper and description. The latter occurs, however, on the bottom edge of the volume:Primus de prebendis et de prebendis ac dignitatibus vacantibus anno iio domini nostri domini Pauli pape ii. There are ff. xxiiii.—cccl. of text (many of them blank),+ ff. cccli. and ccclii. blank, the first 23 leaves being missing.
  • 2. The MS. had ‘Stantan’ throughout, and in each case the ‘a’ is cancelled, and an i dashed substituted above it, giving ‘Stantin,’
