To William Westecarre, elect of Sidon. (fn. 2) Grant to him to whom the pope has this day made provision of the said church, that even after he has been consecrated and has obtained possession of the rule and administration of the said church, or after the lapse of the canonical time for consecration he, who is S.T.M., may retain his priory of Holy Trinity Moteffont (sic), of the order of St. Augustine, in the diocese of Winchester, which is conventual and has cure, and may receive therewith any two other benefices, one of them secular and the other regular of any order, with or without cure, even if such regular benefice be a priory etc., and may retain them for life in commendam together with the said church of Sidon, and resign them, as often as he pleases, and hold instead two similar or dissimilar benefices, one of them secular and the other regular of any order, etc. Personam tuam. Mandate to dispense John Pakynton, layman and Margaret Synyth (rectius Sinyth i.e. Smyth), of the diocese of Coventry and Lichfield, to remain in and to solemnize before the church the marriage which they formerly contracted in ignorance that John Smith, Margaret's brother, had been godfather at the baptism of the said John Pakynton; decreeing legitimate the offspring born, if any, and that to be born of the marriage.
