Collation and provision to him (who was lately dispensed by papal authority, on account of illegitimacy as the son of unmarried parents, to be promoted to all even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, after which he had himself so promoted and obtained the perpetual vicarage of Stradbale in the diocese of Lismore, which he subsequently resigned) of the perpetual vicarage of Kyllgobnat in the said diocese, value not exceeding 3 marks sterling, void at the apostolic see, and therefore reserved, by the death there of Philip Ocost[i]gain. He is hereby dispensed to receive and retain it, and to resign it, simply or for exchange, notwithstanding the said defect etc. Vite etc. |

Mandate, the pope having been informed by John Ocolman, priest, of the diocese of Ardfert, that Thady (Tatheus) Olaghare, rector of Acthamaland in the said diocese, has committed simony [and] incurred perjury and irregularity, to the shame of the clerical order, if and after John, who was lately dispensed by papal authority, on account of illegitimacy as the son of unmarried parents to be promoted to all even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, accuses Thady before them, to summon him, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said rectory, without cure and value not exceeding 4 marks sterling, to John; notwithstanding that he holds the perpetual vicarage of Killgobnat in the diocese of Lismore, of like value. Mandate to collate and assign to John Oheara, a canon of Achonry, the rectory of Benfada alias Kilmthig in the diocese of Achonry, of lay patronage, without cure and value not exceeding 8 marks sterling, so long void by the resignation of Malachy Ymochan to Cornelius bishop of Achonry and admitted by that bishop by his ordinary authority, that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see, although Odo Omachan, priest, of the said diocese, who is to be summoned and removed, has without canonical title or tittle of any other right unlawfully detained possession for more than a year but less than two years; notwithstanding that he holds a canonry of Achonry, the fruits etc. of which are of no value. Mandate to collate and assign to Cornelius Macmachuna, clerk, of the diocese of Limerick, who lately, without mention of his illegitimacy as the son of unmarried parents, had himself made a clerk, the perpetual vicarage of Killkidi in the said diocese, value not exceeding 10 marks sterling, void by the resignation of Thomas Macingind made to John bishop of Limerick and admitted by that bishop by his ordinary authority; summoning and removing Dermit Macmachauna (sic), clerk, of the said diocese, who under pretext of a collation made to him by the ordinary when under age has unlawfully detained possession for more than two years without a tittle of any right and canonical title; whether it be void as stated, or by the non-promotion of the said Dermit to holy orders within the lawful time, or in any other way, and even if a suit be pending about it between the said Dermit and Maurus Obrian alias Omolruanayg, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe (Laonien.) and any others. Mandate—the pope having been informed by Murianus Machyllichan, perpetual vicar of Attigi in meassa in the diocese of Achonry (Akaden.), that Donatus Olochaid (? rectius Oloch[l]ai[n]d), perpetual vicar of Ymleachyssall (also written ‘Ymleachyseall’) in the diocese of Killala (Aladen.), received and took possession of and retained the said vicarage without having obtained any canonical dispensation on account of a deformity in his eye, (fn. 2) and has incurred perjury and committed simony, to the shame of the clerical order—if and after Murianus accuses Donatus before them, to summon him, and if they find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage, value not exceeding 7 marks sterling, to Murianus; notwithstanding that he holds the said vicarage of Attigi in meassa, value not exceeding 1 mark sterling, which he is to resign upon obtaining that of Ymleachysseall. Mandate (the pope having been informed by John Fismoris de Geraldinis, perpetual vicar of the church of Ardfert, that John Fismoris, priest, precentor of the said church, has notoriously kept a concubine in his house by whom he has had offspring, and, although corrected by his ordinary with a money fine has not dismissed her, and has removed and dilapidated the property and precious moveables of the precentorship, and committed simony, to the shame of the priestly order) if and after vicar John, who is of noble birth, accuses precentor John before the above dean, to summon the latter, and if he find the foregoing to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the precentorship, a nonmajor non-elective dignity with cure, value not exceeding 10 marks sterling, to vicar John; notwithstanding that he holds the said vicarage, to which belongs the cure of souls of the parishioners of the said church, which has also a parish, together with a certain other annexed vicarage, the value of both not exceeding 4 marks sterling. Mandate (the pope having been informed by Gillibertus Ohelan, perpetual vicar of Kylcorboy alias Cruachan in the diocese of Kildare, that Maurice Oconallan, perpetual vicar of Rathyman alias Cloenbolt in the said diocese, a notorious fornicator and simoniac and an open perjurer, and not personally resident in the said church, has alienated and converted to evil uses a number of goods belonging to the said vicarage, about which and several other crimes etc. he is much defamed in those parts) if and after Gillibertus, who was lately dispensed by papal authority, on account of illegitimacy as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure, after which, having been so promoted, he obtained the said vicarage of Kilcorbey (sic), accuses Maurice before them, to summon him, and if they find the foregoing or one of them sufficient for the purpose to be true, to deprive and remove him, and in that event to collate and assign the said vicarage of Rathyman, which is of lay patronage and value not exceeding 9 marks sterling, to Gillibertus; notwithstanding that he holds the said vicarage of Kylcorbey (sic), value not exceeding 3 marks sterling.
