1455. — (fn. 2) (f. 39d.)	To John Haukini, a canon of St. Mary and All Saints, Trentham, in the diocese of Coventry and Lichfield. Appointing him, who is of noble birth and a nephew of the bishop of Ely, an honorary chaplain of the pope and the apostolic see; with the use and enjoyment of all honours, duties (oneribus), rights, privileges and immunities, liberties and indults as other (alii) such chaplains. Id. June. (13 June.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 71.)	To Master Vincent Clementis, canon and provost of Valencia (Valentin.), a subdeacon of the pope and nuncio of the apostolic see, and collector in England of fruits etc. due to the apostolic camera. Motu proprio appointment of him, who has shown great zeal and diligence in the office of collector etc. in England, to the said office during the pleasure of the pope and the apostolic see, all other collectors and subcollectors etc. being hereby removed; with the usual powers to exact and receive, give acquittance etc., compel payment by ecclesiastical censure, sequestration, arrest etc. He is not to delay more than a year in making payments to the camera, is not to appoint more than one sub-collector in each city and diocese within his collectorate, if they are wide, [and if small one sub-collector in two of them], and is to send their names to the pope or his chamberlain or his lieutenant, and to render his accounts every two years, etc. He is, moreover, to take oath to execute the office faithfully to Lewis, cardinal priest of St. Laurence's in Damaso, the pope's chamberlain, or his vice-chamberlain etc. Illi merito dei amici. 1455[–6]. 10 Kal. March. (21 Feb.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 156d.)	To William Widerall alias Simson (or Smison or Sunson etc.), of the order of the friar hermits of St. Augustine. Appointing him an honorary chaplain of the pope and the apostolic see; with grant of the use and enjoyment of all privileges, liberties, exemptions, immunities, indults, prerogatives, honours, favours and graces enjoyed by the rest (ceteri) of such honorary chaplains. Appointing him a chaplain of the pope and the apostolic see, with the use and enjoyment of all privileges, liberties, immunities, emoluments, honours, graces and duties (oneribus) enjoyed by other (alii) such chaplains; notwithstanding the constitutions etc. of Clement V and of Otto and Ottobon, sometime legates in England, etc. Vite etc. (M. Prid. Kal. Dec. (30 Nov.) St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 312d.)	To John Pursell, bishop of Ferns, collector in the island of Ireland and its cities and dioceses of fruits etc. due to the apostolic camera, and nuncio of the apostolic see. Appointing him, during the pleasure of the pope and the apostolic see, nuncio of the said see in the island of Ireland and each of the cities and dioceses thereof, and collector and receiver-general of the pope and the said see of fruits etc. due to the pope and the Roman church and the apostolic camera, with the usual powers to exact and receive all such dues, except only the common and petty services, and to give acquittances, audit and examine accounts of all collectors and sub-collectors etc., compel by ecclesiastical censure etc., invoke, if necessary, the aid of the secular arm etc. He is not to delay more than a year in making payment to the camera, is not to appoint more than one sub-collector in each city and diocese of his collectorate, if they are wide, and if small one sub-collector in two of them, is to send their names to the pope or his chamberlain or his lieutenant, and is to render his accounts every two years, etc. He is, moreover, to take the usual oath to execute his office faithfully to Lewis, cardinal priest of St. Laurence's in Damaso the pope's chamberlain, or his lieutenant etc. Ex fideli ac solicita.
