Grant, so far as lay in him and his (in quantum mei et meorum est), by Jordan Folyot, lord of Gressinghale, to the abbot and canons of St. Mary of Wendlinge that they and their successors may peacefully possess and freely hold in severalty and as their own a piece of land or pasture with the herbage therein in Skerninge, containing 2½a. land next the stream between Skerninge and their messuage in Wendlinge; which piece of land was formerly common pasture; saving to him and his heirs the fatherhood (paternitate) and advowson of the said church of Wendlinge, together with the patronage (patronatu) or advowson of the said piece although it may be enclosed.
